A massive congratulations to Lynsey Way who won the ‘Commended Award’ in the ‘Outstanding Practice in Positive Behavioural Support (PBS)’ category at the national BILD Leadership Awards this month. These awards recognise good practice in PBS nationally.
In Lynsey’s words:
“It was an honour and a privilege to be awarded a commendation for my work in implementing an organisation wide PBS strategy. In addition to being presented the award by Prof Sandy Toogood, a professional hero of mine, there were lots of people who said kind and encouraging words about our work here at CMG.
For me, the road is always longer, there is always more to do but I take pride in what we have accomplished as a team, in the staff we have that have embraced our support and in the outcomes we have collectively shown possible for the people that really matter.
I relish the challenges to come as we: roll out our new training pathway which is I believe is unique in the UK as it is tailored to a person’s individual needs; continue reducing restrictions for people with behaviours that challenge and collaborate on the first ever Positive Behaviour Support festival later this year.”
Well done Lynsey, her team and all the staff involved.
